Matrix

Breed:   German Shepherd Dog
Gender: Female
 D.O.B: 25 September 2005
Reg#: UNREGISTERED
Colour Dark Sable
Coat type: Short
Size Large

Matrix is very pretty young female with feminine features and beautiful dark sable colouring.  She has a substantial frame and is of large size for a female.  Matrix has very high drives and is a keen learner.  She is bonds strongly with the handler, is affectionate and playful with her people,  as well as being socially stable with strangers.  She is confident and well balanced in new situations.  Matrix demonstrates excellent natural scenting ability with a strong aptitude for tracking and area searches.  She has been lightly started in all three phases and is developing well.  She is a very active girl and would do best in a working or active home.

Matrix is highly intelligent, agile and has tons of athletic ability.  She is absolutely crazy for the ball or toy and will endlessly retrieve any object thrown for her (including metal, wood, PVC plastic, rubber, etc).  If an object is hidden or thrown out of sight she will search until she finds it (very tenacious).  She also shows good possessiveness over her toy.  Matrix is well socialized with people and is also good with horses.  As a result of her high prey drive Matrix is not recommended for a home with cats or small dogs.  She is crate trained and travels well in the vehicle.

Matrix is an unregistered GSD.  Her dam is a registered GSD imported from the Czech Republic (ASTA Zelenznicna policia SR, SchH1, SVV1) and her sire is a working Police Service Dog (also a purebred GSD) in Canada.  Matrix is the result of a breeding carried out with the sole intention of producing high drive PSD prospects and the litter was never registered.

Suitability:  Matrix is a super prospect for Police, SAR, PPD or all varieties of dog sports.  She could easily serve law enforcement as a dual purpose K9 or single purpose detection dog.  Under the right guidance, Matrix could also make a nice companion in an active home.
