Adara is a powerfully build young female. She is a solid, big boned girl with level topline and inexhaustible working drives. Adara lives for training, she's always up for work regardless of anything else. Adara is an excellent watch dog and will bark to alert when new people arrive on the property, however she quickly warms up to them once she sees that they are friends. Adara will chase anything and will retrieve a thrown object forever. She is absolutely crazy for the ball and displays super prey/hunt drives. She has strong full mouth grips with calm full bites on the rag / tugs. Adara is started with obedience, foundational tracking and basic area search skills (for wilderness Search and Rescue). Adara has good handler focus and is a keen learner. Adara is showing excellent promise in tracking, she is extremely enthusiastic and follows the track with strong forward motion and a deep nose. She tracks well through drive and maintains a high degree of accuracy. Adara also displays beautiful air scenting capability, both for articles and live-find area searches. Adara is highly sociable, curious and loves to explore new places. She has good courage and is stable in new situations. She is very athletic and is comfortable with slick or unstable surfaces. She also travels well in the vehicle. Adara is good both in the house or in the kennel. For original litter details click here. Update (21 November 2008): Adara returned home to Stalworth Kennels by her handler in Fort St. John, B.C.. Serious concerns over Adara's welfare and several breeches of contract demanded Adara's immediate return to Stalworth Kennels. It is an unfortunate situation, however we are pleased that Adara is home safely. She was returned to us in a pregnant condition. Following her litter, Adara shall hopefully continue her training in the service field and toward earning her titles in obedience and tracking. click HERE to see more about Adara's story. Update (10 July 2008): Adara's Co-ownership amended to a Lease Agreement, as filed with the CKC. Adara continues to reside with her handler in Fort St. John B.C. Her situation there shall be re-evaluated in December of 2008. It is our hope that Adara's situation in B.C. will improve and that she may remain with her handler come the New Year and that the pair may enjoy a happy, healthy and successful future together. Update (03 May 2007): Adara Co-owned and sent to reside with her new handler in Fort St. John, British Columbia where she will continue her training. Adara is intended to be utilized as a civilian Search and Rescue dog and will be certified with her new handler under the RCMP's civilian SAR dog standards as required in the province of British Columbia. Adara will also be working toward achieving appropriate working titles in CKC obedience and tracking. We look forward to following Adara's progress and development over the next few years. Congratulations to Adara and her new handler, we wish you both much success in your work and future together!
